Well, I finally have some limited mobility in a wheelchair and I was going crazy laying in bed all day, so I decided it was time for some fresh air.

Got it pretty well put together. Still a few loose ends, but all-in-all, she's comin' together nicely.

Haha. Thanks. I even considered machining my logo into the side covers. LOL

i'm not a fan of the black at all but i guess if you have a kawi (or at least a kawi chassis in your case lol) it has to have alot of black on it. but if it were mine, i'd have the chassis and basically all the black stuff on it, i'd have it silver, but that's me haha

looks great though

it was a gamble goin with the black. Im usually not a fan either, but I think it came out OK. Plus, the owner loves it, and thats what matters, right? :)

haha exactly

i didn't know if was a customers, i thought it was going to be your personal bike

old saying goes

customer is always right lol

As a reformed Kawi guy, black was THE option. Beats the crap out of the Yamaha pink that was so popular 17 years ago.

Damn you ST, I was just starting to catch up!

This bike is worth every penny for $3000. I"m sure your customer will be more than happy.

to be completely honest, i'd rather have the pink than the everything black on the new kawis lol but the lime green with the navy blue they've got on the shrowds on the big bikes is nice looking, i think they should incorporate more navy blue into their bikes (and they have with teh fork caps and little bolts here and there, even blue rad hoses would be a nice touch with silver wheels and other silver components)

i only don't like the black because it looks so terrible after a couple rides, and the silver you dont' see teh little nicks and stuff on the wheels

Thanks buddy. Actually the total cost in parts alone for this mini was $3700. That includes the two donor bikes, but doesn't include labor. The $3000 was refering to the asking price of my personal KX85/KLX150.

Still a Bargain.

I'm approaching $1000 on my build, still no tires, graphics, engine work, paint, exhaust or trick stuff. Most likely be 1700 - 2000 all in. A bunch less than yours, but it'll look chincy parked side by side.
