Having moved back from England this year, and competing in the Mini4GB over there, here's my thoughts.....

A KLX110 super-stock class (only motor mods allowed were pipe, jetting, filter, cam, and HD clutch springs....chassis mods were shock, fork internals, bar kit, rim and spokes, and all the bling you want). This was bar none the most exciting class to watch, bar banging the full moto

I'm all for going back to the roots too.....stock CRF50 class (pipe, jetting, filter, HD clutch springs, bar kit, fork springs, rear shock, HD rims and spokes)

Last year the 88 class had full gates, but this year you were lucky to see 10 bikes at any given race.

Open midsize (14"F, 12"R, 160 max CC) was flooded with bikes, enough to run qualifiers for a gate.

split the womens class into pro and amateur. Last year it was kinda sketchy going around with first time begginners on stock 50s. and we had two rows, almost 3 so a split would make it way fun!!!

AND PRO PAYBACK FOR THE LADIES THEY DIDNT GET ANYTHING LAST YEAR!!!

You mean it was hard not getting hit by the pros right? :buttkick:

More practice time. Also not let the pros get to ride the track more than everyone else. It was a joke when they say you get 5 mins of practice and its more like 3 and a half.

I say they have an 88 class. Seeing the track layout in past years a 88 would be the most fun on there.

I really dont see how a 195cc 110 would even be fun on that track.

this is just my O2.

As for drawing more people's attention; have a decent track. I couldn't watch more than 10 minutes of the racing and I had to change the channel. I know not everyone is going to beable to hit everything, and they shouldn't. Last year was right up at the top on the boring scale though.

^^^^^^^^^^^this would be nice might get more of us old guys if we didnt have to race against former national champs/factory pro's. and a better track layout. maybe some better berms so eveyone doesnt just play follow the leader on the inside line in every turn(very boring).

Move the Mini Moto race to the MGM Casino!

Lets face it, pit bikes have evolved from 5 years ago and we have out grown the Orleans.

We have also out grown the rules and their ridiculous rule book. This sport has changed and is no longer you and your buddys goofing off in the back yard track.

You cant have a 88 class or a bar and spring class if no one can police it. Trust me someone will cheat. This takes a new set of rules, volunteers to run tech inspection, etc.$$$$$$$

I personally like the stock/mod class as it is. This is the class that requires the most knowledge of how to make power from a stock size carb. The am class and pro class are just way over powered motors that never see their potential on a Orleans style track. Anyone can build that with the parts that are available today.

I could go on about this but I think you get the point. Well some may and some wont anyway.

Not bashing here just thought I'd throw some other stuff out there to think about.

The bottom line is..........in order to start changing from where its at today, it is going to take restructure of the Mini Moto organization, money and time.

I think a stock class would encourage a lot more people to race. A lot of people i know are very fast riders but really cannot afford to race because in the pro classes the stock motors are at big dissadvantage over the motors that are +r or v2 and 184+cc. The china industry has come out with good bikes for good prices but if you factor in the extra money to build the motor up you are well over three grand and thats not cheap considering big bikes are tough to sell for that much. Anyway stock class would help people out. Mabey have a 160 limit and keep it at 160.
