Hey Guy's

Has anybody experience with this zongshen 190 ?

Bummer it's electric start, makes converting it to pull start out of the question for an ATC70 conversion.

Just never been impressed with the electric starts especially when you increase engine output and raise compression ratio. The electric starter just doesn't have the grunt to quickly turn over a cold motor reliably it seems. Especially when it's cold outside like when I run my ATC's in the winter months.

There are literally hundreds or thousands of different large displacement motorcycle engines with e-start that work well. Many with high CR.
There's no reason why one of these horizontals can't work well.
I do understand that the YX motors and their e-starts suck but thats just them cutting corners. It can work well though. No idea if these 190s do.

The starter on these motors is massive. with a YTX4 (12v) battery it consistently cranks over with no resistance or hesitation.

Worth mentioning that these are 2 VALVE motors - no 4v. Zongshen needs to build their replacement parts inventory up before sending a bunch more out.

Hopefully spring time here in the US, if not sooner.

They are similar, with the anima still edging this motor out power wise. Will be great for street, but an e-start only adds weight to an already heavy engine, and the 5 speed would be counter productive on a motocross track for most people I think

I'm not sure price wise, they are listed overseas for around $780 euro (840usd)
