From what I hear the lifans are a good engine

 

Don't forget to look if they need an oil cooler as that will add to ur cost

 

Neither of them need it but im gonna add one and a couple other parts if i could get rid of my stock motor lol

 

There both basically the same unless the lifan is a 54mm bore, which some ppl think is better
but if it was me I'd save for the yx140

Its a crf50 bone stock runs like a champ

 

the honda motor is worth about $200 for the motor and harness assembly.
i woudl look at putting int he 140cc as shown, or at least the zongshen 125cc engine. the reason is, it uses a 13mm pisotn pin and Tbolt sells lots of pistons thatw ill bolt in, including cylinders to run up to 57mm bore. at a minimum you could get a 54mm hi-comp piston and bore/hone your stock cylinder to the new piston and have more power, then get a big valve head and your set.

the Lifan uses a 14mm pin and has fewer aftermarket parts for it.

but as mentioned i would get a 140cc and be done with it.
