A YSR80 is a 2 stroke and only uses oil in the transmission. The engine oil is mixed up in the gas. The tranny oil will never get hot enough that it needs to be cooled externally.

Side note: Do you really need four fenders on a bike with two wheels?

thanks guys for the replies.

@arlindsay- so there's no need to put an oil cooler? great! dont need to spend a few bucks for that thing. im just wondering if this bike will get too hot that there's a need to put one.

regarding the fenders, im thinking of pulling off a motard-ish look to it hence the mx fenders and the styling of the tail section (for looks) and the other front fender is for protection from dirt and other s#!t same as with the tire hugger at the back because everything underneath gets dirty everytime i use the bike.

What is the handling like on that thing with is jacked up like a 4X4? What was the problem you were trying to solve by raising it up so much?

Handling is pretty decent but of course not as great as a track bike. i only use it as a commuter bike to get around that why i raised it up so cars can see me on the road unlike its stock height. Well, i guess to each his own.

I guess... I'm not hating, I was just confused why you would do that to a YSR. I'd be more likely to put a big flag on it, and leave it stock ride height so it would turn without trying to spit me off. The high angle of the swingarm will cause it try and spin the rear tire.

Anyway.

Yes, that first thing is the voltage regulator/rectifier.

The second thing. I have no idea. I've built a lot of YSR's in my day and never seen one. It must either be an add-on part, or YSR80 specific.

Call up the Squids at Team Calamari. They should be able to sort you out.

it still has the original pipe but i did chopped it off at the part where you bolt it near the pegs and and the pipe maker here made the elbow for the underseat pipe. i still used the original diameter of the pipe but yeah, it does look like a 4stroke pipe..

It looks to have the original pipe or some pipe actually designed for it. Then it's chopped off before the silencer and connected to a different silencer under the tail.

Rookie, mate !!

I'm slightly concerned about what you have done to the rear brake hub/drum

I can't really tell from the picture, but it looks like you have turned it 90 degrees, to fit the brake connecting rod ???

It does'nt look like the retaining bolt has be used to stop movement of these parts ??

Please for your own safety get this confirmed A.S.A.P

ey dakeuk, the rear brake has no brake at all and im just using the front brakes. i did that on purpose because i havent fabricated a bracket to hold that piece of metal to bolt on to the hub/drum for the rear brake to work so i just placed it like so. thanks for the concern dude. :)
