I dunno about the Float. I've never ridden with one before. I can tell ya from experience that unless you weigh more than 185, anything more than one BBR spring feels harsh. I'm going to try to add some travel with TBR damping rods with the stock fork springs to see how often I bottom them. I'll adjust up from there depending on how that goes.
If you're on here alot, then you may have read the thread where we talked about throwing the charts out the window when you're tuning KLX110 suspension. If you're a 70 lb. 9 year old-- then the charts would probably be accurate. Being that most of us are a great deal taller and heavier than that, we tend to ride further back on the seat than a kid who fits the bike would. So... I'm planning to go softer than what's called for up front, and slightly stiffer than the Race Tech charts say in the rear.
As far as componentry goes-- I'm planning on a custom sprung and valved Works shock out back, and a custom wound set of fork springs (possibly even a progressive rate if I can find somebody to do them) up front, in conjunction with some TBR damping rods to add some travel. Hope this helps. --L*64
