ok i'm going to build a new bike for 10" 88cc class, but i have a couple questions.

I'm going to spend about 5k so this bike will be pretty sweet when its done. My questions is what about buying a entire bike. If i just upgrade my current bike the only thing i will be using is the rear wheel and stock cases/tranny. Almost everything else will be new. Is that a good idea to buy that many parts or should i just buy a already built 50. I'm going to buy the red baron alum frame if i build the bike. What about getting a Red Baron factory bike. Its $5,200 and for the whole bike and its setup exactly what i want. The only thing i wish it had was Marzocchi forks. Does anyone know anything about the engine thats on those bikes. If i build a bike i'm getting a Tak 88 R stage kit. How would that compare? What are some other factory bikes i should look at if thats a good option. What would you do?

well 88 cc class... in most races means stock head.. i dno about in your area tho... sooo if you are going to race the 88 superstock then you cant get the rstage... but then again if its all 88's. .then that one should be fine (altho id recomend the tb 88 with head then have work done to it)

Thanks mark i'll send you a email when i get to that stage. Most of the races in our area just run a 10" class with unlimeted engine mods. We don't have enough to break it down any further. So i will be running with xtremes, SDG's and Thumpstars. So i just figured i need the race head. I think some have tracks have up to 90cc 10" class i plan on running also. Would that mean i need a stock head for that?

Thats what i figured. I emailed RB to find out some more info about the engine. It looks like the bike they sell for $5,200 just comes with a regular 88 kit using a stock head. Its extra if you want the race head. Not sure how much though. I think building the bike looks like a better option to save money. I'm still looking though.
