Well Really I dont know what to do first to the KLX.These are my 3 options I am considering now:

A.143SE kit,Ultima pipe,26mm carb,oil cooler,clutch springs,bars,tall seat

B.Sano long shock swingarm,F22 Ishock,and a Basic 143 kit(bore,cam,carb like the staggs one),manual clutch

C.THe dual compression/rebound Marzocchi forks,and a manual clutch

My question is to you guys,Can I run Marzocchi forks with the stock back end and still have the bike level?I know you can slide them down in the clamps but I dont know how far. Also would I have a better chance if I used the big minis clamps as they seem they would have more room for the forks to slide up and down in.

What do you use it for and how are you surviving now with the suspension you have.

They are all good choices so I would pick D) all of the above.

But if you can live with your suspension I would pick A, if you can't I might go with C.

The problem with C is you'll have nice forks and then a shock that bottoms every where. I would look into a few shocks, Ishocks have only been decent in the past, but maybe the new series out will be good. I would say A first minus the oil cooler and then get something for suspension next. I got a clutch and motor on mine first and ran the stock swinger with an elka shock with the CHP springs and damping rods in the forks. Then I got zoch's and a sik110 swingarm.

I will be getting D all of the above eventuall. This is just to start out.Unlike what I did with my 50 I want to get all the parts I want the first time instead of just buying one because its good enough.

so can anyone tell me if I can lower the marzocchis in the clamps enough that it will be level with a stock back end.

well either :

a) your engine will out run your suspension

b) you'll have a rear and big bore, but stock front

c) you'll have over rated zokes that are too tall and a chopper bike

i say b. get damper rods and springs and your set.

you should really ask yourself what is the ultimate goal as far as bike set-up. Is it to have a vegas capable bike? I guess what I am saying is how far or how much $$$ do you see yourself throwing into your klx?

It seems you have about 1400 or so to spend based on the options you listed.

If I wanted a balanced and good bike with mods for under $1400 total I would do the following:

-CHP 143 kit $299 (1101)

-pipe [pick brand] $250 (851)

-carb $200 (651)

-dampening rods $80 (571)

-springs $70 (501)

-works performance shock $240 (261)

-cable clutch kit $160 (101)

-PGD $75 (26)

-send via paypal to airboy808 $26 (0)

NOTE THESE ARE RETAIL PRICES

there you go

Just call BBR and Buy one of thier bikes from Vegas..........they are that good.

DI....DIDOO...... Real mini sx bikes are built not bought! NOT EVERYONE HAS A DAD TO FORk OVER 10G'S FOR A MINI BIKE.

If it were me I would go with B. I think that will be the next rear end setup I run. People swear by that setup with the racetech. I dont like the racetech, they blow. Literaly. The new I-SHock looks very high quility, and I think that setup will be very predictable, and plush at the same time. The only thing I would change though would be get a 143 light bore+ 26mikuni. China carbs suck!

Trust me when I say this, you dont want a 143se with a stock shock, after riding all sorts of 110's from stockers to Perimeter frames, choice B is by far the way to go!

The rear is way more important then the front if only upgrading one at a time.

Get some dampining rods and heavy springs if you weigh under 175 I would try just one stiff spring, one stock. 30 wt oil

Nutta jigas 2 cent

B would be the best possible choice becuase you don't need tons of power, i have a nearly stock powered 110 and im 165lbs and it moves me just fine, and i can get enough speed for any jumps. and for my suspension i just have a works rear shock, bbr hd springs, pro taper bars, and a tall seat with a filter kit. mostly stock. but it works great.

Always do suspension first. What good is speed if you bottom out on everything. I would do B, and add fork springs and Race Tech emulators to the forks, minimum. Then do a 160 kit for your horsepower. My son raced at 3 Palms TX on 1 of 12 BBR custom bikes. Stock motor, super sweet trick suspension, he was way faster than others on modded 110's with big motors and not as good suspension.
