i think its 91. Im not sure on octane, but I know its the most expensive gas at the gas station.

 

ok, and why do you guys run high octane?

 

We run the high octane because the motors will start to detonate if ran with too low of octane.With that being said I run a mix of VP C-12 and 92 from Sheetz.Thats what I run in my big bikes and I dont feel like having an extra gas can for the 50 so I just run the same gas.

 

I run Penmex which is 63 octane. You can get it for 89 cents a gallon in TJ... J/K



I really run a 50/50 mix of 91 and Sunoco 110 race fuel. I have been running it in my big bike so I might as well run it in the mini.

 

I ran 93 octance pump fuel in my 88 race head, and still run the same thing in my 124SE. I used to run U4 but stopped running it becuase it was a pain to get.

 

on a tb racehead run 91 or higher or risk burning a hole in your piston from detonation. i run 93 cause i have my timing advanced.

11:1 compression on a TB 88 setup.



Low test unless you notice detonation, then move to mid grade.



I run my 70 at approx. 12:1 on lowtest without issue, including heavy advance on the ignition.

Running 93 in it now with 88 race head, fixxing to upgrade to 108 with 26mm carb, with 88 race head piston.

 

I run 110 in mine with 88 with race head. Seems to run better after I've been out flogging it for a while and it's nice and hot.
