alot of stuff..differnt forks..i own 3 ttrs 110 2 08's..1 09



none of them have mods and i hit a 45 foot gap on them all the time..i mean i beat the s-h-i-t outta them all the time..never have failed me yett.



i hit my ramp on them alot also they hold up

 

They are good bikes and are 100% different than a TTR90.

 

OK, so the 110 is not just a rework of the 90.



Any changes from 2008 110 to the 2009? (ie improvements.)



Any reliability issues with the TTR 110? (It will be for my 6 year old son.)



I am toying btwn 2008 TTR 110 or the new 2010 KLX 110. (The KLX will end up costing $1000 more.)

nope just the graphics alittle chang..but everything is the same soild bike

Id lean towards the new klx 110L thing is sick..comes set up the rip!

 

the only thing i forgot to add is that make sure you turn the key off all the time after your done riding it or the battery will run dead...thats the only thing i can point out in this bike

 

I am always reluctant to buy a first year model. I have been considering a 2008 Yamaha TTR 110 and just realized that this was the first year Yamaha produced the TTR 110 (I think.)



1) Anyone know how much changed from the 2007 TTR 90 to the 2008 TTR 110 (other than 20cc)? (ie total redesign or just the cylinder/piston.)



2) Are there any know reliability issues with the 2008 (or 2009) TTR 110?

I bought a 08 ttr 110 brand new...

rode it for about a week and the clutches started acting up... finally took the cover off and the clutch basket nut had backed off, just put some locktight on it and never had a problem again, i have read on here one other guy has had the same thing happen.

My nephew has a 08 ttr110 and it hasn't happened to his.

But i've had mine 10months, i ride the hell out of it, ask anyone that has been to my track, bike is still going strong!

I went through 2 klx 110s, 2008s i bought brand new, Kaws were junk, both were rebuilt several times one stayied stock, other was completely modded and still had engine failures and transmission failures even with all the aftermarket parts inside.

Hands down i will keep buying Yamahas !

its not the key, its the acutal swith on the handlebars... leave it on, leaves the carb heater on, battery dies.

 

ill deff keep an eye on that clutch good to know

No plastic kits, besides the pister junk and u still have to mod for the front fender...

No aftermarket hubs or spokes out or brakes.



Heres mine, Gytr cam,Gytr valve springs, 22mm Mukuni carb, Sano swingarm, Hd front springs, works rear shock, Excel wheels, powder coated hubs, Gytr tall seat and gytr dress up kit, FMF 4.1 exhaust, Tag bars, Kitaco coil, Rk Gold Chain, aluminum 37 tooth rear sprocket, and added 1 washer to each clutch spring to make them stiffer.

so the klx swinger fits? or is that not a klx swinger? how?

 

no not a klx style, TTR50 has the same mesurements on the front of the swingarm and the shock location is the same as a stock ttr110 swingarm.

Had to mod the swingarm to run the bearings for klx style swingarm so the swingarm bolt will fit

 

TTR50 plus 4" swingarm from sano was roughly 1" longer than stock

 

How much work to get the Pitster fender to fit? How is the Pitster plastic quality?

 

the pitster stuff fits real nice just the front fender is a crf 70 and you have to make a few new holes and cut the back of the fender off no big deal though

 

I have a set of GYTR TTR 110 Heavy Duty Front Springs and a BBR Heavy Duty rear spring for sale $100.00 for both front and rear. Used less than a month.
