That's crazy, Looks like they are going to try and bring china made bikes to a whole new level. 7 models, 50cc to 600cc. Interested to see how it all works out.

i think that it is interesting that he talks about the patents and legally going after anyone that copies what they are doing. isn't that where he got his start? Don't get me wrong, i have a couple of thumpstars and enjoy them, but that is somewhat humorous.

I thought that was funny too.

I prefer the crf50 plastics. I know they are trying to separate themselves from everyone else and make a more unique brand name but that is not the way to go. You can't even put numbers on those side panels. Pitster and Thumpstar have made huge steps, but I think the key to the future is still better suspension #1 and faster but still reliable motors #2.

I like how in the article he says

So if anyone does try and copy we'll have the ability to pursue it through the legal system. And we will! I look at all the current pit bikes produced in China today and I know somewhere on their bikes my original designs and thoughts have gone into at least one part some where.

But when he copied Joker Machine on their billet throttle Joker Machine didn't sue them they just laughed at how shitty it looks compared to theirs. Thumpstars are jokes and I can't wait to see their new bikes at the track and just laugh at them.

I think they look GAY! I dont like the plastics at all. I like the CRF plastics MUCH MUCH better then those. That big gay plastic peice on the subframe is uglier then shiznit too. I think the pipe looks weird too. ROFL at what waffle posted!

Differentiating by plastic is a nice start to making their brand stand out, but yeah, they need to include proper sized rear number plates so we can fit 6" AMA legal numbers on legibly. I like the idea of including a grab handle under the seat, as long as it is functional and won't just tear plastic the first time you give it a tug.

Disappointed to see the same frame geometry most imports have been using since stretching a CRF50 frame... lower the motor!

IS THUMPSTAR USA CHANING ITS NAME??

In the recent weeks there has been a lot of speculation, rumors that Thumpstar is changing its name. To answer the burning question, the answer is: Thumpstar USA is not changing its name. In Australia that is not the case. Tim Hunter who is responsible for Thumpstar Australia is branching out in a different direction then Thumpstar Motor Inc. China thus the change in name for Thumpstar Australia. Thumpstar USA will continue its partnership and will continue to work closely with Thumpstar Motor Inc. China and has no intentions of changing the Thumpstar name in the USA.

I hope this will put an end to this rumor. We have a lot of new products coming in 2007 and our Roadripper is just weeks way from becoming street legal within 48 united states.
