Dang I thought so im looking for a 54mm piston for CRF 50 to go with that head and a 54mm crank.. I wonder if that CRF piston will work on a TB 51mm crank.. Tired of buying Takegawa 54mm pistons and heads for the CRF.. But I gotta run 124cc hope Mike comes out with a 54mm piston soooon lol..

Basically I would stick to TB parts 100% on my builds
That way you know Mike will back you up if anything ever did happen to go wrong
also
You really don’t need that crank , The Tb 114cc V2 will smoke a 124SE , and I have ridden both

The 54 mm piston from trx 90 will fit the v2 new honda head ?
Unless you clayed it I would say no.. But it might but no promise. A TB made 54mm piston for the V2 is what you want to make sure you got no clearance issues AND keep good compression.. Has anyone tryed a TRX90 piston with a V2 head. Its so new I doubt anyone has clayed it with that piston..

That is possible but you would need custom offset case and cylinder boring. Basicly you would be looking at a custom race motor. Its much cheeper to do it on a China based Lifan type "bigger"stud pattern. It can be done but is really not as cost effective. The more cost effective way to do it would to buy a 150 daytona type 150 and put the TB top end on it. 57 bore x 60 stroke. I did a pitster rs 124 build 57 bore 54 stroke but it has the larger stud pattern. its in the china section. its now a 138

Yea I wana know how that RS runs.. It looks to be the ticket if you wana keep the engine as short as a Honda (69mm) cylinder and light as well. It also has a clutch on the input shaft and has a 4 speed. I think doing it including getting the engine new would be less to upgrade than a Honda engine to over 124cc.. Just wait im sure TB will come out with a Honda 54mm piston and get a 54mm crank.. A Honda 124cc 54X54 with this head will rock.. Geezer can you run Takegawa +R cams in the Honda version of the TB v2? And I also know that TB sets the price at which ALL vendors must sell there stuff so Vince isnt controlling that..

Yes the head uses the same cam as the Honda type +R taky. so taky decomp cams will work with it and is a drop in. I belive the TB head has the 20 grind.I dont have a bike to try it in rite now. This engine has a jap made crank in it stock. I like the shorter rod, as a short rod motor always revs quicker and likes big ports. Its should be a real runner.

only hassle i had was the thin " black " head gasket ..
on reaching tdc i felt a resistance and then could see the cam cog " click over " so to speak ,,
swapped back to a " stock " 88 composite gasket ,, and things are back to normal ,, any ideas ? .

also , if the head is a take " copy " of the super + head ,, will the oil cooler bypass plate bolt on ? ,,, as i want to use this cooler ,,
