So I bought a TB 114 kit for my icon 90 which has an 86cc lifan motor. I'm thinking it would be no big deal. However during assembly I discovered the piston hits the head. Has anybody ran into this problem before? I thought the 47x49.5 motors would have the same length rod, am I wrong about this? The piston that came out of the motor has 11mm from the top of the wristpin hole to the lowest part of the dome. The TB piston has around 13.3mm. Anybody that has installed a 114 kit still have the 47mm piston that came out? If so could you measure the distance from the wristpin to the top of the ringlands. Maybe this motor has a longer rod??? I'm kinda stumped.

Standard head gaskets are in the 1.4mm range if I remember correctly.
Chinese mills normally use 'short rod' or 6v style pistons, roughly a 19.5mm pin height (measured to the center of the pin.) Later Honda motors, and some cranks like TB's 51mm stroker use 'long rod' or 12v style pistons which are roughly 1mm shorter, with an 18.5mm pin height.
