how do you guys think the chinese midsized bikes will do in competition ?

i am sure that kid is good but i think it is stupid that he is racing in a pitbike race. it is sapost to be people that are full size racing bike that don't fit there weight or size. he could jump on a stocker and kill anybody just cause of his size and weight.

Vince,

I think that with the 146 kits, and good suspension the x4's should be on par with most of the 110's out there. The BBR 160 kits are making about the same HP and Torque, the wheelbase is the same, the suspension is good (and can be made even better) the wheels look good, brakes may be the only spot of question but I am sure that those will have plenty of power. So lets see, the three things needed for a rider to make fast laps, powerful motor? check.

Good suspension? check. Powerful stoppers?check.

What really needs to happen is a close ratio tranny for these Jialing mills now!!!!

He is racing KIDS (that is the 12-15 12'' class) not adults and if you think just because he is small he has an advantage your wrong. He raced the stock fifty class about a month ago against adults and couldnt get away from them and when you bang bars in pitbike racing who do you think has an advantage? And weight and strenght helps carry momemtum.

did you look at the picture link in the first post.. i really don't think those are kids.. they look like adults to me except for your kid. i do agree that when it gets aggressive the adults would definately have an advantage

no dude

its a kid class 12-15

pull the results from owc and check the bike numbers ,,,,its all kids

I think what Vince is trying to say is that you can compete in the 12'' class with a Chinese bike.(no matter the age class) You dont have to ride a KLX. Doug Sullivan (xr1million) won 2 money classes (Open money and 12'' money) last weekend on a Thumpstar 12'' TDX Pro. With about 20 KLX's lined up against him.

yea to get this topic on track i definately think you can win on any bike as long as they are close to the competition... the one thing that worries alot of people about the knockoff is by the end of the race weekend the bike may be pretty much dead. while you can race a klx110 for a couple years without problems
