so I bought a piston but I cant tell what head its for. Its a takegawa. Same height and width as my TB 52mm. But When i comare the tops(both flat tops) the TB has deeper notches for the valves where as the Takegawa has the slightest groove for the valves. So does anyone know what head this piston is for? no there are no part numbers anywhere i can see on it. Thanks guys so much.

if its a high compression piston thats why the valve cut outs are deeper.

I had a conversation about this yesterday, I think...

I believe the tb piston you have is for the race head. The deeper valve pockets are to compensate for the larger valves. If the takegawa piston valve pockets arn't as deep, I would assume it is for the stock head. Just assuming though..

+1.....the deeper pockets are for the race head for HC. Is it a flat top or domed piston? pics help out alot

the deeper valves are for a stock head according to the TB part number and description. Thats what is confussing me so much. The Tak piston has the slightest notches and I cant get it to even show up in pic(damn iphone camera)...

is there a takegawa site to match it up? i cant find any part number on it? I tried minimobracing and they didnt show a piston that looked like it.

i found it finally....its the S stage piston. So now what is all the difference between the different stages; S, D, R? Strictly talking 88cc
