SSR SR 125cc Pit Bike?

Hi guys, I'm completely new to this forum and pit bikes.

I wanted to start off with a pretty powerful but cheap bike. I am a little nervous about the Chinese bikes though. In your opinions, is this bike worth the $670? Will this bike actually got 52mph, or more like 40? I would try and buy a used one but I really don't know what to look for and to know what works right and what doesn't. I think buying used bikes when you don't what to look for is pretty sketchy lol.

Is this bike fairly easy to maintain and take care of? Or if you guys know of any other cheap and pretty powerful bike to start just let me know. Heres the link to the site I'd be buying it off of. SSR SR - 125cc Monster Pit Bike w/ ZongShen Engine, Cheap Dirt Bike, Mini Pit Bike, MX Pit Parts, Coolster, CHP, Moto Vert, CRF50, KLX110, TTR50, BBR Bike, Orion, Apollo, Kids Pit Bike

Last few things, does anyone know if it's legal to ride this in my backyard? I live on Longisland, NY, Nassau county. my backyard is just big enough to ride in and I was wondering if it was legal to ride on my property? I have neighbors on my back, and both sides. Even if they did complain could I still ride it?

I'm about to go to bed now so just leave your responses and I'll read them tomorrow.

Thanks for your time guys.

I have had an ssr 125 for over 4 years now and I love it. Grips, pegmounts, rear shock, and tires suck but overall I have been pleased for the money. There are a bunch of sweet deals on used bikes around here but if your set on new then I think this is about as cheap as you can find. Btw my ssr125 has been clocked at 55mph stock.

I wouldn't mind buying a used bike for cheaper it's just that I don't know what to look for in a bike. I don't know what's good and what to watch out for. I wouldn't mind buying a pretty nice used bike for $500 or something like that.

TBolts automatic bike was $699 and the other side had it for about $670. But all in all the SSR is a decent bike?

EDIT- also have a stupid question, what's the difference between full auto and semi auto tranny? Make it simple please :)

if i was back in the position again i would have saved up another 6, 700 bucks and bought a pitster pro or medina. i bought a ssr dx3 last summer and have had a few problems with it. but if you dont want to keep saving its the best bike for the prise!

Well since you both have hardly any post I had already assumed you are from killer motorsports. It doesnt need me to say anything do a thread search and you will see why not to buy. If you prefer to go ahead and buy from them then good luck with that and if you have no problems with them you will be the 1st ever to be posting on here that didnt.

im not from there, im not on here much n i just signed up not too long ago...i just got my first pit bike ever, an orion apollo, and i've found on this site that not many people like them, i would much rather support a vendor on here rather than someone i dont kno...

No, I'm not from Killer motor, my buddy got a bike and it's pretty cool so I was looking for one too. I'm completely new to this stuff and was just wondering, I don't know the bad from good companies. If TBolt said he'll match their price I'll buy from the more respected company.

When I do scrape up enough dough and still want it I'll email you TBolt.
