Alright, managing to get some priorities in order and am now focused back on fixing up my 2002. I plan on purchasing the 2002 upgrade kit from CHP, Takegawa 4 speed close ratio transmission, takegawa 6 disc HD clutch, and the takegawa die cast aluminum clutch cover/hydraulic clutch kit. I also plan on purchasing a Kataco IRK.
Keep in mind my ultimate goal is realiability .
Now the questions I really need to be answered:
Will I still need a new updated output shaft if I purchase the 4 speed tranny?
Which road should I go down with my engine? Stroked or non-stroked?
Non stroked I am interested in the Takegawa 138, and if you guys talk me into it maybe the 178. How reliable are both? If I get the 138 should I run a 26mm carb or a 28mm? If I choose to get the 178+r should I run the PWK or the PE28mm?
It is early christmas when you have money in your pocket, and I am definitely looking help spending it. If any one else knows of any good combos with the engine I would greatly appreciate it.
I have also been hearing good things about the TB143 v2 head <-- Should I ditch the all takegawa bike for this? Any one had problems with this set-up?
I am looking to build this bike from the ground up. It has seen better days but I definitely have something up my sleeve.
