There are a few small issues, sure, but for the money it's a neat scoot.

The fuel lines need re-routing (doing it tomorrow) to eliminate an occasional pinch.

Cold-blooded. Blame the EPA air breathers and new/tight motor. We can advise...

Battery on the fender makes room for the much bigger fuel tank.

Front forks are kinda wide, tires a little narrow, shocks are stiff.

Seat seemed fine, but I push down pretty darn hard on them;)

Improvements are the front disk brake (big one, too), E-start, big tank, nice rack, telescopic forks, and... that you can buy a new one:D

Fit and finish was pretty decent, controls worked well. I like it.

I pretty much agree with firepower's opinion.

I cut some length off the fuel lines and zip tied them up off the engine. I didn't like them laying on th engine. Also zip tied the spark plug wire up off the engine. Maybe not necessary.

Tires do seem to be under sized for 3.00x10 rim. Supplied tires are 3.00-10 which is for a 2.15x10 rim. Later on I'll probably go with something like a Kendra K761 (50/50 tire) in size 130/90-10 which is the correct size for a 3.00x10 rim. The tires will gain about 3" in diameter and about 2" in width.

Shocks do seem a little stiff although I haven't ridden much because of all the rain here in WNC.

Yes it's a little cold blooded as most bikes are but not a big deal. I assume jetting could be adjusted but I'll let it be for now. Spark plug color looks about right. BTW, never heard of the brand of spark plug in the bike.

I'm not sure how much the fuel tank holds. I put about .75 gallon in and still could have added more.

The owner's manual is poor. Buying from a good dealer would be my advice for an inexperienced owner.

Wiring diagram was incorrect for the wiring that had to be done on the build.

Seat will take my usual bead rider seat cover. Ten thousand New York taxi drivers can't be wrong. Monkey butt on a monkey bike.

130/90's are truck tires on that bike. We run 130/70's on 4" wide wheels. For 3" wide wheels, I wouldn't go wider then a 120 series, and I'd run a 110 series on a 3" wide wheel.

Just my opinion.

Z,

Thanks for the info on the tire sizes. I was looking at the sizes at

www.kendausa.com to get ideas for the future tire change.

What tire/size do you recommend for a 50/50 pavement/dirt environment? Also the 125 came with tubes. Should/can I go tubeless?

So what bore upgrades are out there for this bike? Pister? Terry? Anyone? I just want a tiny bit more, nothing crazy.

Wait till it snows, and bring it over. We'll make it zoomier:)

Chase is gonna be too busy to bother you. He got the "password" for the rest of the long-distance CT pics.

Oh, you'll be learning... Bring it over one trip, and we'll disembowel it and measure it all up, order the parts. Come back when the boxes arrive and you can put it together. I'll be on the couch if you get stuck:)

If I were ordering another PPC125, I would have the vendor replace the GPX125 with the largest displacement, most powerful, and reasonable engine that would fit the bike before shipment. Also I would make sure it came with the steel tank.

I'm in Flint, and have a manual and an auto version here, right now. I rode the auto around at Vintage Days a couple weeks ago, after un-crating, bolting on the front wheel, rack and a few little things, and making a few shake down laps around my neighborhood.

I have a handful of the 2009s left, all with the new steel tanks.

2009 close out price is $1049 shipped!!

I need to move out the remaining 2009's to make room for the load of cool new STREET LEGAL z50, Monkey style bikes and 2010 Classic 125's coming in!
