Takegawa just released their new 125cc to 178cc 4 valve engine kit for the KSR110. Supposedly will not fit the KLX110 for some reason. Probably interference with the frame on the carb or the differences on the new 2010 KSR110 motors. Who knows. Not my market, I just report the news.

Looks like a cool, albeit expensive kit.

Thats waaaay nice! I like that it has roller rockers and the D-comp and cam options unlike the rest of the 4 valvers on the market.

I'd love to see some dyno #'s on the 178 4v+R!

Takegawa's Dynos are on that link. Take them for what they are worth.

If I am reading that right the kit is $1460 without the carb?? Not bad!!

Actual bank to bank wire transfers or credit card exchange rates would be closer to 90 yen to the USD currently. North of $1500.

The question is, what needs to be changed to run on the KLX, and how much will the US importers sell these for. History tells us Japanese retail does not equate to US dealer retail in the majority of the cases.

If any of you pick one of these up, post up your findings.

From what I have been told now,, Takegawa says that the head is longer and hits the front tire,,,, I am wondering if this would be an issue with the Marzocchi suspension with the offset clamps??? Hmmmm

I think your just going to have to find out and let us know!!! lol
