i want red with white back fender so frickin bad

 

i think clear palstics for any of them would look pretty B.A.

So they got green white black and red right now don't they? I'm pretty sure I seen red I know a guy on here was talking about it but I don't know what happened

When I checked with UFO they said only green white and black. If you find the red let me know...

 

I was thinking about trying to make some clear ones at work, maybe just the front fender or something. I know the shrouds would be insane. What I wish is someone would make a better shroud system for the newer bikes. I hate taking half the bike apart to lift that thing off...

I'll talk with one of the guys at work and see how close I could come with the tools we have. The only thing we don't do at my job is injection molding, which is how they're normally made, so not sure how good I could get...

 

Could you make the shrouds a ktm orange for 110Ls

 

Yeah it was me who made the thread about plastics...I was in discussion with UFO and they said sticking to white, black and green for now but will make other colours when they know kawasaki will be sticking to this same plastic shape for a few years, as it's apparently a very costly kit to make with awkward moulds/processes.

If we could get a load of names together for people interested in a red set for the 2012s then i can email it over showing the interest there is in them...

 

Well...I'm either the biggest idiot in the world or a very intelligent man because I just dropped some big money on getting some custom sets of red plastic for the 2010-newer body style for klx's.

I've gotten a few PM's with questions about the plastics so I figured I'd give an update on here..

The time table I was told was 4-8 weeks to be made and shipped to me--They are being made in Italy by UFO (So you know they won't be JUNK), then shipped to the US distributor, then to me. They told me they will look just like the typical Honda red plastics they make (as far as color), just with the new klx 110 body style.

I ordered early last week, so with a modest guess, I'd guess 5 more weeks. When I hear anything else I'll post it up, and when I have pics I'll gladly post them too.

Also, if you spread the word and are able to help me sell some I'll hook you up with a nice discount.

 

Just got an email from Dave at UFO:

"Ryan,

They have it scheduled for production the end of next week. I will have to see what shipment I can add it to when it is finished."

So I'm looking at 2-3 weeks from now...hopefully

 

Okay, so the plastic deal is most likely off. Monday was officially the start of week 9, and the us importer for UFO said it would only take 6-8 weeks or them to arrive. So I sent an email and the guy responds saying he'll call UFO Italy. Today, after not getting an message relayed, I emailed again and the guys says they will start producing them next week.

Furious I respond, cancel the order and refund me my money. Then he responds saying, oh actually they have the shrouds and rear fenders produced, it's just the fronts they need. I told him send me pictures or else cancel the order completely.

That was 10 Minutes ago....

 

Deals back on. Apparently parts unlimited had a big time order and mine got shoved back.. Supposedly they will send me 30 sets that should be here before the 20th of this month. He said he'll try and send me pictures of the shrouds and rear fender, which have already been made. Front fenders are being made this week. Already lost some sales but I think I should be able to move most of them.
