Share your knowledge please. My son will debut on the mx moto here shortly in the trail jr class. Stock 2004 klx 110. Need better holeshot and grunt out of corners if possible. In order of most results would be appreciated. Pipe, rev limiter, carb, sprocket or any other suggestions. I'm sure all of the above will result, but which couple mods would be the better results for starters.

Mods are no problem, it's a pretty cool family/kids oriented track. He wants a 110L next year. So I was considering whatever add-ons I buy could be moved to the L. Didn't want to get real serious with the big bore or gear box. Gonna see how much interest he's gonna take on the track. Just thought maybe I could help the bike to launch off the gate alittle quicker. Probably add the pipe for certain. Never thought about the tires, you mean down size the rim/tire or just better tires?

yes just get some nice tires. You could also throw a manual clutch on there and make it full manual or just to where he can stab the clutch, again just depends. Save your money on a pipe. Throw a cam in it before you waste your money on a pipe.

Yeah tires, sprocket, new Carb, air filter and either a full manual or as stated before the semi auto manual (so you can go either or) and possibly a cam. Pipe makes great noises but not the best power adder for the money, although just stay in the classifieds and wait till one pops up because if noise isn't an issue sounds way better. My 2 cents

with the auto clutch for holeshots you can shift up to second then downshift to first and hold it down. its like having the clutch pulled in so you can rev the engine before you take off and then left off it when the gate drops. def gearing would be the best thing though to make a difference out of the turn

what kind of soil? If its hardpack just use the stock tires if its loam I say go with some mx51's. Yes throw a 37 tooth on the back but make sure the track isnt too open, remember lil guy's only go three gears. There's just so many variations you'll just have to try things and see what works best. Also the take off technique Sit311 suggested will work wonders if your little one can do that.
