sounds strange but would just like to know if it is possable to reduce the bore size to make it a 125cc and if so which barrel head and piston would be best will need as much power as possable but needs to be 125 from a lifan 150 as i already have this motor thanks

Are you trying to tame it down, or are you one of those "Rule Follower" guys?

De-stroking the crank, or at least swapping to a 55.5mm Lifan 120 crank gives you some bore options, that would allow a bored 120/125 52.4mm jug. The 150 stroke has you in the 51mm bore range. Should be able to do the build for a couple hundred bucks.

Hi everyone. Im thinking of buying a new engine. Considering higher speed and quality which one would be a better option? A lifan 125cc engine or a lifan 150cc engine? My friends and mechanic advised me to buy the lifan 125cc engine instead of the 150cc engine. They told me that the lifan 125cc engine is more powerfull(speed) and resistant(durability) than the lifan 150cc engine. Still i am in a doubt and i need good reasons. Can you please help me choosing the engine. Thanks in advance.
