I have an 06 klx 110 was planning on getting a 143cc big bore kit with the carb and race head but is there a really big difference in the v1 and v2 head and should I also get a chp clutch with a four speed drum to go along with it?

Wow u want to go all out... if u go with a head than get a 26mm carb can't tell u witch head to get.. a 143 with a head runs good with a stock carb with no mod head..head mod means carb and pipe foreshore...
If your going to mod your motor you want to do your bottom end too. Hd output shaft, hd clutch plates and springs. There are some other stuff also. As for the difference in the V1 head and V2 head I have heard it is like night and day. The V2 head is much faster.
I would say a striker crank us just as reliable as stock. Never heard of one failing, and I've best on one with no complaints. Your already talking about splitting the case so you might as well go all out. 143 v2 stroked w/26 is pretty much the most common motor setup out there.
Bored the cases while it's apart. You will wanna go bigger so bore it for the tb 67mm just in case lol I regret not doing it to mine that's for damn sure
