Did Stewart broke a bone or was it an ACL injury that he messed up.

Kawasaki has announced he is having surgery, but thats as detailed as they have been. Really weird.

James has actually gone down hill since Jeremy Albrect left as his Mechanic...I also believe that this will be his last year at Kawasaki

Heard rumors (MotoTalk rumors, but rumors nonetheless) that he may be switching over to JGR next year...

Inside info.....I heard Kawi offered him a 2 million Bonus to win the Supercross championship and I believe the same for the outdoor championship.

thats a lot to pass up....:(

But I do believe he will be on something different for 2009

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Stewart to Undergo Surgery on Injured Knee

- press release -

Irvine, Calif. (January 22, 2008) – Monster Energy Kawasaki’s James Stewart will undergo surgery this week to repair his injured knee. Stewart is hopeful he can return to the team in time for the AMA Motocross Championship season opener on May 25 at Glen Helen Raceway Park.

“Going in for this surgery is the right thing to do,” said Stewart. “I want to be out there racing but I owe it to Kawasaki and my fans to be able to be at my best. I’m going to start my rehab right away and work with Aldon (Baker) to be as ready as I can for the outdoor season.”

Stewart injured his knee at his home track in December while riding in preparation for the 2008 Monster Energy® Supercross, an FIM Championship.

“Obviously we want James to be at 100 percent,’ said Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Manager Mike Fisher. “We know the surgery is the best thing for James and we are looking forward to him getting back on the bike and challenging for the AMA Motocross title.”

While riding injured this season, Stewart scored his 25th career win at Chase Field and was tied for the championship lead after two events.

Man that is funny...my wife says the exact same thing. She swears up and down that he (Bubba) has not been even close to the same since Jeremy left. She is always joking and telling me that Bubba is going to be over at Gibbs racing soon!!!
