ya know what, if you have an xr50 with an 88cc bore kit on it, dont call it a 50 anymore, it might sit on the same frame, but its an 80 or a 90.

i know its sweet riding a bored out 50

i ride 50s with about 7 people every weekend, and one guy showed up with his bored crf, and would blow us all away, we are just cruising though bogs and jumps, but this guy was a hells angel on that thing, it kind of ruined the day.

there is my 2 cents on that subject.

yah...good luck with that theory bud. One against 100,000 odds that you are gonna change the phrase "fifty". Usually if you have a stock engine its called a "50". If you mod it out its a "fiddy". Thats what i have seen. Your bike is fun in a sad kinda way...like how its fun to drive a geo metro cuz it almost wont make it up that little hill in town so you gotta rock back and forth to keep it going. An 88 kit or bigger just changes the sport. A stock head 88 is damn close to a stock 50, it just has the low end power to get out of its own way. Stock is just fun for whatever reason. To each his own.

I ride a 124 and that big bitch will always be my little 50 in my mind!!! Good Luck Mano!!! The word fifty is more used to describe what we are riding, with nothing to do with the motor. If this name change you speak of did take place there would be complete pandimonium and all hell would break loose lol. can you imagine,

Hey buddy drop the gate and get out your 88 and I will open the door with my 124 while Kristie ramps her 50. Maybe we will pick up nasty Nate with his 108 and ole Steve mcqueen on his twin spark 115. What a gay day slingin dirt by the bay, wouldnt ya say?!?!

HA HA Not making fun man just screwin around....

not you by any means

You know what...i am realy jealous of his stock engine. I'm gonna go out in the shop right now, take my TB88 kit off with a ported 70 head and put the stock top end back on. Maybe i'll stack a couple base gaskets to lower the compression some too. That will be a hoot.....

^^that would be one heck of a "50" emgine.

hey newbie that likes his stock 50. why u calling ur stock 50 a 50 when its actually 49 ccs :) the engine and the dealers and pecifications tell u so call ur bike a 49
