Well using an impact gun is the easiest thing to do to get the nut lose. You could use a pry bar to keep the wheel from moving but be careful not to damage the cases. If you are very careful with the pry bar you might be able to get the wheel off. Be careful.

 

Strap wrench and buy the tool.

 

to hold flywheel use a strap wrench , steel will work but a canvas is the best .

impact is best to remove the flywheel nut but you can do it by hand fairly easy too.

once the nut is lose and IF you do not have the correct tool you can lightly i said lightly tap the flywheel with a plastic i said plastic mallot tap on top turn flywheel and tap again repete .

in cases where flywheel is super on there you can loosen the nut and start the motor for a second and it may slip lose do not rev motor at all.

The correct tool will be cheper than the damage you do with out it.

 

It Depends, first time i took myn off i just used one hand with little to no effort and yanked it off..



2nd time i had to use a hear puller and worked out fine.. im sure you could Rig somthing to work.. just think about it and take your time..

 

Hi Mate im new here...i used an air ratchet to get the nut off then got someone to lever the flywheel with two screwdrivers carefully and used the vibration from the ratchet to get it off...easy

 

Impact the nut! Then use two pry bars underneath the flywheel to pry up, leave the nut on the crank above the last thread and tap on the nut with a hammer. Pop. all set!

you can borrow a steering wheel puller from the local auto parts store. it works good.

 

i will try to get the nut loose tommorow with the strap wrench trick and so how hard the flywheel is on there.
