Just been wondering if theres going to be some rule changes for those ppl with 70s and 70s with 88cc motors for modified and superstock...i own a 70 and also have seen more an more show up at races but there's not really a spot for them

i would consider looking into that

too bad you havent just shown up - a few guys have done it this year and i let them race - they didnt seem to have an advantage

always looking to grow the sport and get more people racing

Hey my buddies and I race the 70's. There is always a few of us and we race super stock. It may not be the perfect class, but its a good time. Super stock is 49-75cc, and the 70's fit right in there. Believe it or not the 70's usually are not the bikes that win, because a couple of guys have Chinese bikes that smoke us all (that's a totally different story if you want to call them out)! Also as you probably know the 70's are a dog. They bog all the time, and only advantage is a little more top end. The 50's have much more torque and response so it ends up being a good race !

We really don't care about who we are racing, just want to have fun with some good competition !

We race modified also. Obviously we cant keep up but have fun trying to chase them down !

Dave, wish you kept it stock, there its five of us stockers, and were working on more! Always love more people to bang bars with.....plus you would be able to race both classes with us...

i was going to just leave it a 70 but the 88 is so much fun an i ride with a bunch of kids outside of racing with all klx110s so it keeps up..i just hope theres a class for it or the 10/12 guys dont mind it

good input from everyone - thank you. i will take it all into consideration as we always want to have classes for everyone.

my thinking right now (and this is subject to change over the winter before we announce 2011 schedule/rules): the right thing to do would be to keep the 70s in super stock, in fact in stock trim, since they have a slight advantage with the bigger wheel base.

the 70s with 88s might have to figure something out there - maybe limited? but that is a truly stock class so i will have to meet with my "board of directors" haha and come to a determination.

right now it would be super helpful to know how many of you guys raced the 70s with us this year - list your name, bike (with any mods) and classes you raced so i can figure out what we are dealing with here. also - anyone who did not race but is interested in racing.

hey - if there is enough of you i wouldnt be opposed to considering another class - just for 70s. not looking to do that unless there is enough demand but that is how we created the playbike class and that has been one of our strongest classes this season.

also a note to any yoot (13-17) riders out there - where are you guys??? yoots used to be one of our strongest classes in the past - at cycles we had 4 kids show up. i dont want to drop any classes, but this is a business and i have to adapt the series to the demand. hope we can get some more 13-17 year olds for 2011 - they are the future slow old guys...

Any info yet? just want to know if i have to get ride of the 88cc xr70 and do something different over the winter...its gettin cold and its time to start rippin it apart and checkin things over...dont know if i should sell it or if itll be ok in some sort of class besides playbike

meeting with the board of directors in a few weeks and we will discuss...

dont get rid of anything yet - there may be options

stoked to see everyone open about this in order to keep it fun - bc that is what it is all about

how about a midsize (stock/mod, super stock) class with 90cc limit?

that way anyone with a 90cc- motor can run, 50s, 70s, and china bikes that are similar to a typical "stock/mod" jap bike..

i think that class would be dominated by 88RH crf70's, but could include more than JUST 70's
