Has anyone actually drilled the plug that covers the fuel screw out on their stock 110 carb?If so how deep is the plug?I plan on doing to tomorrow and am curious how far I can drill in.I have a terrible stumble I just cant get out without being able to asjust the fuel screw.I put a super coil on it that I had left over from my 50 and that seemed to help a little bit but its still pretty bad.

drill very lightly so when you get through you will know. Once you drill through the cap there is about a 1/8" gap of air between the screw and the cap, so be careful so you don't damage the screw it is a soft metal. You will know when you hit it and need to stop drilling. After you drill the hole put a wood screw in it and pull it out with a pliers.

Austin, thats exactly what I told you to do! If you still cant get it out try drilling all of the plug out. Thats what I have done with street bike carbs, but If you can put a set screw collar on the drill bit so that you dont drill into the screw head.

Already tried useing a drywall screw.I can get it to screw in but the thing just wont come out.Had pliers on the screw and everything but it just wouldnt come out.How deep is the plug?I went a good ways into the plug(I hope) and havent found the bottom of it yet.

I will bet that the plug is @ 5-6 mm deep. I usually use a wide sheet metal screw. Is the plug Brass? or is it just a part of the carb body? I have not had a klx carb apart b4.

Ok, and we can do a few more mods to it if you want, I would get rid of the airbox and get the foam filter setup.

You dont actually drill into the air/fuel screw. You drill into the plug infront of it and pull the plug out so you can access the air/fuel screw to adjust it for better throttle response.
