Do they make VP U4 anymore, not U4.2?

Does VP still carry U4? I don't need the high octane of U4.2 on the bikes.

The local VP dealer told us the same thing about the new stuff. He said the only benefit was you could leave it in the tank and not have to drain it.

I'm surprised they were that straight up with you. They normally try to press the issue that they fixed the gumming issues while making it easier to jet and still have the same amount of power. All testing has proven the complete opposite on the jetting and power. It's a pain in the ass to get jetted correctly and it sucks for power. But they were right... leave it in there as long as you want... it will only get worse with age. lol.

The place actually just sells VP race fuels, they are not part of VP. They are pretty honest people and just try to pass on info they have heard or learned.

No, they stopped making it because idiots complained that it would gum up and you had to drain it all the time. Never run U4.2. That stuff sucks for power, jetting, etc.

Yep......What is a good mid octane (91-94) fuel that has a little magic oxygen added to it?

The bikes ran fantastic on U4, I drained and flushed the tank/carb after every race and had zero "gumming" issues.

i wouldnt run U4 I ran it in my 110 with a mikuni 26mm carb and on my dohc 50 with a kelign 28mm carb and it messed them up, they where all gunked up and hardly ran. Pump seems to work the best for me ahah.

how about ERC? anyone use them. We used to run their oxygenated fuel in our race cars, I believe it was even 110. I dont know if they still make it but it was worth about 6hp in our 114hp cars.

ERC makes M.U.L.+ stuff is VERY potent but you HAVE to jet for it or you are asking for a meltdown.
