Ok, so I need to purchase a set of forks for my next project, and would like to get a little feedback from all of you. (Suspension guru's welcome and encouraged!) So my first question.....is bigger really better??? From what I understand the Hornets are 37-38mm, while the ZL's are 35mm (same as marzocchi's). Will the bigger forks just be added weight? Or will they be worth it in performance? I've heard the ZL's are great forks if you send them off to a company such as FEAL for a re-valve/spring. Can this be done to the Hornets as well? Hows the "out of the box" performance of each? Parts/seal availability? If you have ridden with or have any knowledge on either of these forks please state your opinions as well as any pros and cons. What would YOU go with....and why? Any info is greatly apprecitated!

Coby are you talking about the Fast Ace akx01 legs ? I have a set and they work decent but my AS01's are much better.

Chris, the new Fast Aces are called Leopards. But the feed back I have had on the new 38mm DNM Hornet M200 forks are that they are better then the Fast Ace and handle better than the Marzocchi's.

I will most properly get flamed for saying the above. :D

To be honest all of my forks setups work great for their tuned purposes (Fast Ace AS01 38mm, Akx01 38mm, ZL 35mm, and the new ZL 37mm) But out of the box they all sucked and needed to be cleaned out and setup correctly to function right. So what I am saying is that any of the rebuild-able forks mentioned above can be setup to work very well. Soon I may try the new M200's from DNM but I am not sure if my budget permits its at the moment.
