theres threads on here that have people talking about it.. When I first joined the site I remember seeing a thread ALLLL about modding the 2002's

i know! i remeber when i didnt have a 110 it was always on,now that i have one theres nothing on them lol

week crank, output shaft is also week, and the 2nd gear is also week. the clutch also doesnt hold up to abuse very well. so its mostly the transmission stuff that needs to be replaced. and big bore kits fit on it . its just some small misc parts that wont switch over between 02, and the rest.

there ya go! hahah..I dont know what your budget is. But if you want to take the easy way out you can try and find a new klx110 motor. hahaha

idk, yeah i could sell my motor for 300 and probably buy one for 300,or i could upgrade the crank and the basket and transmision for cheap if i buy used parts, but its mostly gona be a stocker so idk if im gona worry about modding the hell outa it haha

When I first got my '02 I was a bit sketchy, to mod it too much because of all I've heard about the '02 being weak.

First I put a pipe and .080 over Wiseco (high comp.) piston in it with a Tak. Hyper cam and heavy-duty clutch springs. No Problems at all.

Next I decided that I wanted a little more, so I installed a 134 kit w/ clutch. Still no problems with anything breaking. I did find that it runs hotter now, so this would be as far as I would go in a stock sleeved cylinder. If you go with a different cylinder I wouldnt hesitate to go 143.

Remember kick easy, you dont have to boot it.
