What is the best midsize bike for the money and why? My girlfriend bought an SSR 140-tx and I have a sikk mx 107 well where we ride my 50 size bike is way to small and I have alot more fun on the SSR because of its size. The ssr is really good but the rear shock is a pogo stick after it breaks in. Its the first midsize knock off I've riddin so I wonder what else is out there???? I will be ready to buy one in the next few weeks. Right now I'm looking at the orions, SSR 140-tx, G2 moto and maybe a pitster X4 if its really worth the extra cash, I would prefer cheaper because I'm poor lol! I look forward to hearing your opinions.

Well I would like to spend around $1400. The pitster X4 is $1800 shipped and its all ready a stretch for me to get the because I am coming up with $500 just to spend $1400. But I dont want to buy a $1400 bike and wish I bought the pitster later. They just look to be alot better quality than every thing else that I've seen. I know if I get another SSR its going to need a shock so that puts the SSR 140-tx at about $1600. I think I will stay away from orion....

No Your Right Bud, I Didn't Want To Discredit Your Work On Your Bike, See Thats Whats So Cool About These Little Bikes Is You Can Build Them The Way You Want To Fit Your Budget Or Race Style. Trust Me I Am Working On A Klx125 Right Now And Everyone Was Like "why The Hell Are You Wasting Your Time On That Bike". Because When I Am Done It Will Be Faster Than A 150r And Have Just As Good Of Suspension For Alot Less And It Will Be Fun To Build And Thats What Matters.

Please Dont Get Me Wrong I Am Not Trying To Be An As. If You Say That The Orion +$400 Gets You A Decent Bike Than I Am Wrong.

I wasn't trying be be an a-hole either, I think your right on the money with your assessment. Sorry about coming across the wrong way:D

I kinda liked upgrading my bike to a decent standard, it helped me learn a lot about bikes, I'm still really a green horn on this whole thing.

Naw Hackmunch is wrong orion is decent, just have to drop a bigger engine in it, and know how to rebuild the front forks but that's ususally a must on any bike, the frame is hard core chromoly steel, it'll flex a bit w/o breaking and the welding is good. All in all with a few hundred in upgrades you'll have a sweet bike for about 1100. Granted the pisters are only 1400 and some change but I've never rode them.

My set up is an orion agb 29 with pro taper se bars, asv unbreakable levers, lifan 140cc bvh., w/ a tb race cam. It's nice, never broken down, and jumps well. I got 1100 in mine.
