As i see it a lot of people are getting away from race pit bike and going to light bore auto clutch bikes. i think that is a great idea. i'm building a nice pitbike track at the house and i'm thinking of only letting true pit bike ride there. none of this 20hp crap. just light bore, slow but fun, bike that w 15ft table top is a big jump. i like to bang bars with friends. i would love to see pitbike get back to their roots.

Me and a buddy (Jeff Mcclure) did the same thing... kinda. We built mini supermoto bikes, but having to always wrech on them got old quick. Now we're back to auto clutches, dirt tires, 3-speed, stiff (stock) suspension, and hitting BMX jumps and just messing around out on the trails. We both kept are stroker kits but smoothed them out quite a bit. And I honestly doubt we're ever going back.

Stock bikes are more fun as long as everyone is riding one. I just bought a new 110 after selling my mod 110. I rode it stock for a couple of weeks till all my new parts came in. I think I had more fun on it stock because I had to rail all the corners perfect just to make the jumps. But it does suck when someone blows by you on a fast bike!

I was just wondering how many people ride stock bikes compared to the mod bikes, then this was started. I have a stock motored 50 with +1's, heavy springs and a shock in the rear. It is a blast to ride because I have 5 buddies with the same set up. Would upgrading to an 88 be worth it if we all did it?

That's the thing man. You all have to do it.

It is way worth it. If you can get all of 5 your buddy's to get the 88 you aren't going to believe how fun that will be.

It makes for such good racing. The thing is it's easier to catch someone if they make a mistake with a big bore so the battles are sweet.

I just got my z50 rolling again for that exact reason. Its all stock besides an 88 cyl/piston and a CHP heavy duty cluch. The ends of my bars drip with elbow flesh.

I just built a 49cc with a Reeg frame and swingarm and BBR SP-5's. I raced it at the Fast 50 championships a couple of weeks ago in the super stock class. It was the most fun I've had riding/racing in a long time. Maybe since the were all 49cc.

Well, I rock a semi-stocker cause I dont have the dough to go too crazy with it but I do atleast want a +2 swingarm and 12 inch front since I ride in sand and with sand and 10 inch front wheel you can barely stand up going off a jump without washing out. What sucks for me is I dont have buddies to ride with so that really sucks.

ya I know what you mean. But the key is to everyone had have the same type bike. If everyone has stockers then its fun. But if you have a stock bike and evreyone else has 124's with zokes then its not fun. So i had to build 2 bikes, one is a 108SE and the other is stock with 70 forks. Both are fun just different purposes.

I agree 100%. I raced 50 open and I didnt like it too much because it was who had the most money to put into their bike. I'm buying a TTR-50 here in a week or two. I'm going to race 50 Production, the class is a blast because it's all 88's. I love that a lot of guys are going back to production or superstock set-ups.

yea, I need two bikes cuz I love bangin on the stocker, but at the same time i cant resist the urge to buy more stuff. lol.

yea its not cool when your riding and someone blows by you with a 160, or a 124 or something. Im sticking to my roots with just a 88 kit and a clutch <(gotta have it) Basically my set up is built to run with a stock 110, which when i get the money ill buy to. I know so many kids who had done up 110s and went back to stock because it took away all the fun. I miss it when a 88 kit was considered fast, and 110s were really un heard of, although anything stock with a bunch of people is always fun.

I think a 90cc and under class is where it is at, for all the 88's, the 75's that kind of stuff, you can run a clutch, whatever, b/c at that point, it is all for fun, no 7K motors, and 13k bikes, I have a couple of those, and like riding my 88 just as much!!! it needs to be pushed harder at the races, more of that, the stuff that started all the craze!!!
