Ok I know I might be beating a dead horse here, but I just want to know for sure before I dump the coin on it.

First, which carb 24mm or 26mm?? I know the TB kit comes with a 26 but I see lots of people say its overkill. I have just the crank right now.

Second, big bore or standard bore? I have a standard BBR D section now.

Third, stick with stock or go with AHP 4-speed? I already have the TB manual clutch.

I guess just who knows what works and what doesnt, or what works best. Just want to have the right set up is all.

Thanks in advance!

keep the 3 speed it will take alot more abuse, dont get me wrong the 4 speeds are good trannies, but myself with a 88 have gernaded 3 4 speeds. since your mainly useing 3rd gear on dirt, 3 gear itself in a 4 speed is a very thin gear, landing off of jumped pinned on hard pack will do a number on the tranny. Specially with the added power i would stick with the 3 speed. With the crank id assume that you could gear it so it would be just as fast and im sure it will have plenty of torc to pull with higher gearing.

I have a 3 speed and my brother has a 4 speed and he never makes it into 4th when we're on dirt. He does use it on the street, or when riding to and from our riding spots but even then his top speed is maybe 2-3 mph faster than me. I think you'd be better off with a 3 if you are in the dirt > 90% of the time like I am.

I have a TB 108 with the old style race head, I tried both an Oko 26mm (Mikuni copy) and a Mikuni 24mm Flat Slide, Both carbs bogged very bad if I went over 1/2 throttle. I bought a used Kehein PE22 with Takegawa matched intake from a PM member and my bike never ran stronger. I highly recommend the PE22.

Thanks for the input guys, I think I have it narrowed down to either the 22, 24, or 26mm carb for sure, lol. Does anyone know if it is difficult to install the Kitaco Cr 3-speed? As compared to AHP's just dropping in?

its quite easy you just have to make sure the spacers are in the correct order

i remember there being more parts in the takegawa kit over the kitaco kit, but i cant remember if they had same ratios.
