I'm interested in buying this head for my 88 motor.Will the head work with a RH piston? or do I have to run my 88 piston for a stock head?

The 23/20mm heads can run the race head piston.

 

What size carb would you recommend for this? (minimum-maximum please)

 

72cc with a race head now that sounds like a cool kit

18-20mm would be my recommendation, with a race head style intake from TB.

It won't work on a 49.5mm but I do have 114cc kits that will work on that.



Basically these will work on any of the stock stroke Honda's from 83 - present.

 

Got the head on...The only problem was I couldnt use my TB 88RH piston. I used the stock head 88 piston and I honestly think it runs better than the domed. Really nice for the money. I used to have problems with jetting with my old Race Head and I didn't have to touch the jets to run with this one. I will definitely vouch for this head.

hey southwickmx338 i got a question for u or ahp i am thinking about getting this kit for the money looks good but i was wondering about upgading to a 88cc piston and cyl later thats possible with this head in the kit right and is the head just like stock 50cc head or better thanks

 

This is the piston I was using (see attachment). Do you think it looks like it has an abnormal large dome? It definitely wasn't a TB so I was wrong about that.

lol, Sorry about all the mix up. I'm going to order an ACTUAL TB piston and hopefully it will work. This head ran pretty good with a stock headed piston so I can only imagine how nice it will run with a RH piston.

Dude where on earth did you buy that piston, looks like that is made for a kitaco ultra head, or a really old style honda head with a 22/25mm intake and exhaust valves.
