valves adjusted right?

 

Its in your head. Your fine. Most V2 heads tick some what even when valves are adjusted correctly.

 

i would say your valves. Does anybody know what the valve lash is exposed to be on the v2 head?

 

your going to vegas, have a friend or someone you meet listen to it when you get there. if you have a problem there are plenty of people to borrow parts from if you dont have them

 

true, what do I adjust the valves to?

 

what cam, i have the same set up, and I put an s35 in and the intake valve was hitting the piston, set the valves@ .002 intake-.003 exhaust, I had to shave my piston down

 

stock cam..

 

.002-.003 in / .003 ex, a slight tick is fine if valve lash is set properly, piston-head clearance is okay, etc.

 

so .002 on both...? and then .003 on exausht. gotcha. it a beast of a tick.



and also for w/e reason my front brake is sticking?

 

i have a mean tick also. and my valves are adjsuted i gotta check to see if one of my valves are hitting

 

yeah it's annoying more then anything.



im taking it to a shop tomorrow because i dont have time to do it.



is it .002 on both of them?

ur runnin a stock cam rite? i have an s-10 sooo i gotta check to make sure the valves arent hitting

 

hey man... I tripped when I heard the tick from my 165 v2...

Its just the more aggressive cam with the roller spinning or something... I run mine pretty hard and it runs like a champ...

hmmm^^ so you had a pretty loud tick to?? ive been runnin mine for a day or 2 runs mint plenty of power kid i got it from said it was the aggresive cam in 2 bros head

 

The V2's have a slight tick to them.

 

I've put a few of these together.. it's common for the ticking noise, but you can never go wrong by double checking! check the valves and make sure the timing chain tensioner is doing its job correctly! good luck in vegas!
