I am currently in the process of building a pretty cool 50 track but I have one problem. I have neighbors and my 50(read 88) is loud. Before I get any visits from the po-po or angry neighbors I need to quiet my bike down. I tried the bbr exhaust insert and I swear it made my bike louder. I have a stock exhaust with no packing so that doesn't help, but am not convinced that a new exhaust would help it. I can drown out harleys with the thing. What is the best way to kill the sound without completely killing the power?

what kinda motor u runnin?

can u explain to me what the hell that is?

I have a 88cc TB full race kit... head, carb etc.

Is that thing electric?! Brilliant... now if i only had 2,000 "D" batteries I would be set. Somebody needs to tell him to pull his bars back into his zipcode.

Well, I have a similar but different problem.

I just got my first fiddy last Saturday and am beginning to plan the build. I'm starting with the chassis but plan to go with either a TB 88 w/head or the TB 108. I have a small backyard track (plan on adding to it in the future) and neighbors. My stock bike is nice and quiet and I'd really like to keep it that way. How much would the stock pipe strangle one of the above engine builds? I'm willing to sacrfice some degree of performance to keep it quiet but I don't want it to run like total crap either. If the stocker won't work what is the quietest decent pipe out there?

nice.

i am working on a electric car for around town.

you run NImet hidri? SP?

what HP motor? brushless?

NiMH drops too much voltage for racing, but great for around town ev. Just lead acid now, working on another solution. Motor is 15hp peak (8hp normal operation), brushless Etek.

yeah, water would be a problem... but looking into protecting it as you are just looking at the prototype. 15hp is the peak motor rating, depends on voltage/current put to it... etc. I will see how this setup runs as I have it and determine if some tweaking is needed. I just spoke with Mike at Crower and will put it on the dyno next week some time. Honestly I am unsure what to expect. I will post for all to see.

Thats freakin' awesome, do you have better pics?

Did you say (in another thread) that this is a bolt on set-up...meaning unbolt the internal combustion engine and toss in the 'lectric?

About the waterproof deal....so what if its raining, just ride in the house.

Yes, the kit will bolt right up to your bike with no mods. So you will even be able to change it back to i/c if you want fairly easily.

oh... and yes, it is very indoor friendly. I was riding it through the vendor area in Vegas a couple times... I just put my foot down every few seconds to look as though I was pushing it.

Here are a couple pics on the track. I will take some better pics soon.
