When is china going to produce/copy the 110 engine? Yes I know they put the head on to Crf based motors, but when are they going to copy the cases and mounting design? Anyone have some insight?

I have ttr 110 based engines on the way now!!

wasn't the word on the street that the ttr50 engines were made in china? maybe the ttr110 motors are originally chinese as well?

Apparantly there are some prebuilt ttr110 style bikes on their way... seems like total randomness to me?

I'm still waiting for full blown chinese 4 stroke MX bikes/engines. A no-shame yz250f clone or something like that.

I have seen the TTR based engine in person, it is baddass, auto or maunal clutch too, lots of room for performance.

as to the Chinese KLX question, tic, tic tic, (that is the sound of the clock ticking away as that is also very close)

I did some test riding on a 250cc MX style bike while in China, did a little jumping, I think they are very close but still have a few details to workout. The future looks bright for some larger motocross bikes that are quality and cost effective.

I guess why the TTR is the question. It's not like people are modding them in droves.

I agree the ttr 110 (although much better looking IMO) does not have the fallowing the klx has. We just happen to spot this motor so we figured it was worth a look. I expect to see a klx version in the next few months as well.

I think it only a matter of tme as they are an all new model, Looking at the engine, it has a larger bolt spacing so big bores should work, a longer stroke than the KLX (54mm) and the stock head has a lot of material for porting and maybe larger valves. There are a few here that have already started modding their ttrs.

Any improvements on the transmission front?

We spent alot of time with the engineers and developers at the YX factory, They had brought in an engine and had it taken completly apart in a matter of minutes we then went over every inch of the current and new engines and will say they are going to make some major improvements in the near future, for me it was cool to have a board room full of people just waiting to see what we had came up with and my thoughts on improvements.

I like the looks..except that front fender. That's hideous. Couldn't they afford a whole one. :D
