i always say buy the best u can so u dont have to buy again
 
Price!!! Sorry, the lens opening is much larger on the f2.8 so you can take pictures in darker places and still hold the camera still. but if most of your shooting is done in daylight then the f4 is for you and at 600$ new is a great deal

If u get the F2.8 you can still use F4 so i think its the only way to go.
