$500 klx, good deal?

Im lookin at a bone stock klx 110, its pretty beat up, could use a new piston/rings/head, probably a clutch, I was told every once and a while when you kick it it has like no compression and you can push the kickstarter down with 1 finger, but it only does that every "Once and a while"



If i buy it i'll rip it all apart, make sure the engines all set/replace the clutch, put a 134 in etc. Thow some plastic and bars on it and beat the hell out of it



My old 110 i put though hell and back but held up pretty well, so i know i can make this one bullet proof too, what do you guys think? good project or no



and i dont have any pics, but just picture your average beat up stock 110, hah

I picked up my sons 04 KLX 110 for $600 last year and all it needed was a carb and rear tube. The owner even gave me the tube, just couldn't figure out how to change it and get it running right. I think someone was tapping on the carb with a hammer cause the carb body was cracked just above the bowl.

Their are better deals out there for $500.

Yeah, its my buddys bike so i know its never been blown or anything, but like i said i would check the engine (not everything, like bottom end).



Even if it blew up, it would still be cheape than buying a new one and modding it out



Im going to see if he'll budge any, if not ill have to consider it more

i would say thats a pretty darn good deal for a 110. They're hard to find for that low around here. My bro got his 04 drz110 for $700 and it was well worth it. He had to do some work like you might have to but it was still a good buy in the end. In my opinion...go for it!

IF your gonna get it for 4-500 does it really matter? you plan on a 134 so your gonna go into the motor anyways, and i know for a fact if it was my choice i would DEFF! pay the 4-500 and get it, expecialy for an 05.



Try this on for size ROLLIE, you traded a 05 DRZ a while ago for a 450r shock? and now my buddies got it. and for what he payed it was TOTALLY Worth it.

personally i think 500 isnt bad considering hes just going to put money into it anyways. If you can get it for cheaper thats great but if not I would still get it. its to hard to find something for cheap. i had to wait months last summer before i found an 06 110 with 15 minutes on it for 900. the plastic was still on the seat when i got it.

I think $500 is fine. If you can get it for $475 or $450 even better. I would buy it for $500 without thinking twice. New they are $1500, modded they are $1200 and up, $500 gets you a bike that needs TLC. For $500 more you could be rocking a used bore kit, bars, and some suspension. I say do it.
