Looking to get a Chinese mid size and have not been following all the new mid size threads. Would like to know more about the YX 150 motors and their trannys. Are they better than the GPX? how about the lifan 150?

Seems to be 3 bikes to choose from: Pitster x4, SSR TX 150, OGM 150.

Pro's and con's of both would be appriciated. Thanks

Also has anyone seen the new Motovert mid size?

This will be my 4th Chinese bike, having had 2 pitsters and SSR. I know none of them are "race ready" out of the box but which will need the least amount of tweaking so to speak?

Pitster x4r I feel will handle everything I threw at it, and very stable to me,almost like my big honda 450 did, I have also ridden the Motovert pro mid size with the 124 Daytona motor, That motor wants to rev really nice, of course it had a 22 mikuni on it, it desperately needed a vm26 606 or equivelant to really open it up. The vert was a pre production bike, and the production models have better improved parts on it, like universal solex bars, nice looking bend. Plus I know the guys at tdk moto, real nice guys, These guys are who should have handled the vert plans from years past being Busby nutted everything up. Pitster is also a great brand as well. I consider Pitster and Motovert the cream of the crop amongst imports for sure.

I bought ogm cuz for the price diff I got some added extras.

U will get lots of diff takes on these bike, usually positive by there owners. I love my ogm, have not had any problems with parts. I'm sure had I bought a pitster I would love it also.

can't go wrong with either. Use a vendor on this site and u will be ok.

I used TBolt USA, LLC - Pitster Pro, OGM, G2 Moto, MX, 50s, ATVs, Engines (vince) and have sent 3 friends to him since.

very pleased with him. Hope this helps ya

i have an pitster x2 140. it is a sweet bike to ride. its easy to ride and real stable but it has the balls to handle what ever i can throw at it. if that relates to the x4 then i would say go with the pitster. and as for parts i have had to replace a few (dont let no rider friends ride your bike, disaster). i went straight to pitster, great customer service and they got the parts out to me in like three days.

direct answers .yx 150 ,ogm150 and gpx 150 motors are all from the same factory .

lots of hop ups allready on the market

the lifan 140 is slower and outdated compared to the lifan 150 but both have limited hop up s avalible .so if your going to just jump on and race lifan 150 is good

ogm -pitster -vert will all handle very similar

everyone knows us for supporting pitster and we still do

but i know ogm now has support parts ,,,have seen the orders personally

I say go with a dealer you can have a good relationship with. I just ordered a Vert and hope to have it before this weekend. Tommy at TDK has always taken care of my every need or want with my past purchases of a couple of Orions. If he stands behind the Orions that strong imagine what he can do with a much beter quality bike!

I say VERT all the way, just to be different (even though I know they are not much different) than the others. The SSR CRF70 looking bike would be my second choice to be even more different.
