so i was told before tryin to revalve and get these things dialed in i need to buy new springs??

There's a guy on this site (Macka) and Mack on Mini Riders forum who shims the springs up to pre load them and reduce sag etc ... he says you can get them working really good if you know what you're doing ......... he says AS-02 springs are too weak for heavier riders and the air adjustment doesn't assist the main spring rate .... I thought that the air would work to stiffen them just like older MX bike forks but according to him it doesn't .... 
I'm waiting on a new set of 730 mm AS-01's delivered direct from China so in theory I should get a genuine set as supplied from the factory .....

i have a set of as02s as back up forks and they are great. The only thing i dont like is thatm they aren't full oil forks like my new as01s

these wouldnt happen to be the forks that come on the newer ogm sx 140's are they? mine say fast ace on them but im not sure which model....
