wow, i read this whole thing and must say, get off his back!! you can honestly say paying for a bike new and not being able to use it wouldnt upset you? go to a chevy dealership and let them sell you a new tahoe that cant leave the lot and see how happy you are. CHAINREACTION pitser is a good company but they everyone makes mistakes. being a man is owning up to those mistakes and i think they havent done that yet.
I think Pitster did step up, His parts are on the way, and even the shipping is being paid for, He just did not get free overnight shipping. I, being a Pitster dealer offered to get him a tank (I did not make the sale either) But would also not absorb the overnight shipping. Asking for overnight for free is out of line, Pitster has no control of where you live, It would not be fair to them to expect that , what about the guy that lives down the street from Pitster, if he gets his part that day should Pitster also throw him $100 since they saved money on not overnighting it? Or maybe you live in another country? should Pitster be required to overnight a part at hundreds of dollars in shipping? In reality, they are doing a pretty good job looks like even though he hung up on Gary, his parts department already sent it out that day.

First time I've read a post from a vendor calling a customer an Ass!

Hate to say it but probably shouldn't publically call your customers an ass no matter how much you feel they are wrong. Your the business and the "customer is always right" Bash him & talk $hit all you want at your shop. Even with as much as I've heard about great service from your company I thought that's was a bit lame.....

I think it's sad that you feel the need to take shots at Pitster every chance you can get. AND Your customer service isn't the greatest either!

MY 2 CENTS!

I never see any threads with complaints about staggs, so he must be doing better than some others.

Man this really spun out of control!!

I have said it before and I will say it again. Blasting out on a forum is NOT the way to get something handled. Calling your dealer first and explaining the problem, then if that gets you no where then you contact the manufacture. It is frustrating I know but sometimes things slip through the cracks and cause a delay. It happens with everything from cars to computers, you buy something brand new take it home and there is a problem, then it takes a few days or a even a couple of weeks to make it right. I think as long as the dealer or manufacture offers to make it right is all that matters. As far as overnighting the parts so that you don't miss a ride day, well that is something that if you wanted to pay for you have that option. Most companies would require you to send in the faulty part for inspection first, then send you a new OR repaired part. I think the real problem here is with alot of you late teens/twenty something guys who think you are ENTITLED to something, there is no waiting, patience, or willingness to go the extra mile for anything. There is no understanding of consiquence and you hamfistedly trash and berate anyone or anything that does not go your way right away. There are companys and vendors that actually care about this industry and put in time and money to improve it and help it grow. Everytime someone comes on here and trashing them because of your impatience over an issue that they are willing to resolve, it causes other un-informed people to question if they can even afford to enter the sport because they THINK they have to buy some 5k BBR/CHP/BM/REEG custom build. That simply hurts everyone because those people on the fringe may just move on to something else when they could have been hooked on Pitbikes.

There is my 2 dollars worth!!

Well I feel for you. I can understand your frustration. Buying a new bike is a great day, it's like Christmas morning when you were a kid. The excitement of checking out the new machine and anticipation of wanting to ride it. Then having the tank leak after putting gas into it sucks, and then you obviously tried to fix it or ignore it so you could still get in a ride and then the kickstarter broke. So after you drop a significant amount of cash on a brand new bike you can't ride it. It is very frustrating I know. So I understand where you are coming from.

However, The Pitster crew has a point also in that it is "a good bike for the money" and problems are inevitable. Both sides of the equation have to let it be what it is. A problem with a bike that will get fixed but nobody is going to be totally happy.

[quote name='FASTFREAK693']I spent a little over $4,500k on the bike including buying it new! Show me were I can get anything that is compareable to what I have now that is NEW from BBR.

P.S. Don't hate just because I can afford to do it!:)[/QUOTE

elka 349. marzocchi 666.40 bbr frame and swing arm 948. daytona 119 dohc 1340. tall seat 49. rear wheel set up 450. plastic 25. clutch and 4 speed tranny 620. oh bars 20. pro taper send payment to me . or i do have some old race bikes for sell .

If this were a Honda or Kawi, you would probably have to take the tank off, send it back to the factory for inspection, and wait for there decision. I guarantee they wouldn't overnight it back to you either! More than likely a 2-3 week process. The fact that you are getting a new tank sight unseen says something about Gary and his Customer Service!

I can tell that NONE of you have ever purchased a brand new boat. It WILL end up back in the shop, at cost to your wallet and at cost to your fun meter, no matter what brand you buy. Any boat owners in here?

Chain, your original post is out of line.

For those of you calling this place 'Planet Pitster' it should mean something to you.

A company only develops a loyal customer base by offering a good product and/or provideing a good service. The fact that so many customers stand up for their product says that they had a good experience with that company.
