has anyone considered doing this? not the stock 50 motor of course. but what about a stoked 108 or 117 motor? or maybe even bigger.

I saw this article awhile ago and have been thinking about making one ever since. Any one interested if i make more than 1??
It seems like a better route than the xr100 for me because of cost and mods available. It seems hard and a little expensive(compared to buying a Lifian or GPX, ect.) to track down a decent xr100 motor. Mods for the xr100 seem more expensive than mods for the Lifian's and GPX's as well.

saw one a couple of years ago a guy put an rz350 motor in. looked cool dont know how it would of been to ride. didn't someone put an xr200 engine in one?808stunna said:cr80 motors are easier to find but are more expensive cause everyone wants those motors. plus i kinda want a 4 stroke as the power plant.

i'd love to check out that nsr of yours sometime and see how you did up the brackets for the 100 motor.Bri6672 said:I had talked to Joe Lanza about the xr50 YSR bike and the front tire hitting the head was an issue for racing but it sounds like it was a fun bike to play around with. An XR100 motor that is in good condition is going to be $500 on up, but its worth it when you consider the performance advantages. I put one in my NSR and I have been pretty happy with the power so far but have yet to take it to the track and see how it does.
