Ok I have sp-5s right now, and I dont have an import bike either, but I wanted something inverted and well marzocchi's really just arn't an option. The fast ace forks LOOK good, but I have not bought one chinese part that I have been satisfied with, Broken 3 knock off shocks, my zonger motor's tranny is ****ed, Demolished an "alloy +2" swinger. So I have stopped buying all chinese products. I just want to know, from any of you who have ridden sano's and bbrs etc how are these forks. thank you

well i can field this one.

what type of chinese products were you buying? no name ebay ones? extremely cheap ones? you find in online stores that dont know there head from their ass?

on shocks, if you stick with the better name brands like fast ace, staggs, and pitster then theres no way you should be going through them.

on the swinger same thing, stick with the better known companies on the china market like pister, ssr, G2, OGM, etc. if you do, then you wont thrash them i bet

on the zonger, most all the trannies suck on the 125 and up motors with them. you need the better china motors, jialing, gpx, yx, etc.....

hope this helps also but on my ssr, it came stock with inverted, rebound adjustable forks, once i swaped in some bel ray 20wt they preformed better than my forks on my nicer jap big bikes. there not cheap though, expect to pay around 600. there the same ones found on a pitster x2 also.

just gotta be careful what chinese crap you get, like everything theres good and bad crap coming out of their. i assume you not a newb but most all them chinese knock off shocks, swingers, and motors.

if ya got the money for the sano's and bbr then go for it, ya know you cant go wrong. but my friend who payed 6k for his bbr built 50 is a little jelous of a few of us who ride with him when out knock off bikes look nicer, and were cheaper in price, and are just as sturdy if not sturdier than his bbr bike

You are correct on the shock, however I can't imagine it making a difference as I'm sure they all come out of the same chinese factory. Billetware makes the sano and Sik 50's swingers I believe. any ways my swing arm was actually a 50 caliber which is in no way some name less chinese junk. I did however distroy the swinger and have slightly bent there forks. Has anyone ridden the fast ace forks with other fork experience? I have heard not to waste my money on them and I have also heard that they're worth the money.

like i said before, theres junk and theres not in the china part world. factories dp make different products of the same area. just cause it comes from one factory doesnt mean all there crap is junk. i am curious how you ben it all? you see my china "junk" above? i jump that daily 20-25 feet. i am so hard on the bike. i wnt to break it so i can upgrade it but it wont break hahaha. i wanna blow my rear shock so i can get a elka, but it wont break and handles great. same wih the rest of the bike. just gotta research it all before you buy it. noone with pitsters, or ssr's, or ogm's really break there bikes in a big way, just little things.

I know what you mean but sometimes you see something that scars you for life, for me its just that ive had so many china products just leave a bad taste in my mouth if you know what I mean. I have a china frame right now, and hell I beat the piss outa that things and its lasted, thing is, it just feels like crap to ride because the motor mounts flex and it has a really soft feel to it. Its just the small things.....

yes craddle mount. all pitsters are. ssr also has a chromoly craddle frame on their ssr90r, its a +2 like the rest. they also have a few others in aluminum craddle frames(non twin spar) i just dont know the name of the bikes off hand.

check ut g2 moto as well for a craddle mount.

or for 100 bux you can get the cat 5 craddle extension to bolt or weld onto any 50 frame.

Well I went on sgr.com and checked out the x2 frame. Looks reall nice, and its cool having the option of an aluminum subframe because thats sumthing I would be willing to spend the $$ on. Correct me if I'm wrong tho it appears to use a mono style swinger tho? I just got a sano +2 and I dont wanna have to get a new swinger and shock.

the x2 frame is more or less a KLX110 frame, but set up to work with crf style plastics/tank. X2's are set up for a big bike rear end. The front end is also designed to accept a KLX length steering stem, so remember that when you are thinking about all of this.

A frame is not something I would go out of my way to buy chinese. The geometry is wrong on just about all of them, leaving you with a stinkbug, or a chopper. My RCM 125sx sat pretty good, but didn't have enough rake. The x2/x2r frames hold the motor so high up that the foot pegs are closer to the seat than they should be, and it makes them handle worse.

I'm in the same boat with forks. I would really like to get my hands on some nicer forks, but the market has a big gap in it between 100 dollar ebay junk forks, and 1500 dollar zokes. A 500 dollar USD fork that fit regular 50 based builds and performed well would have a market. Your only choice is to buy heavy chinese junk, or beat up used and abused name brand stuff.

If the chinese could copy bombshell/lt6's with similar quality and market them for 500 bucks they would sell. I would own a set. They would probably come with 10 pound cast hub front wheels and calipers off a chinese car though
