I have a stock Sikk 110cc which basically is identical to the 125 except it's 110cc which comes with a 12 front and 10 inch rear.

I'm looking for some tires and I came across some but I'm not sure if the size will work.

Would a 3.00 x 10 work if I change to a 100/90 10? (rear)

2.75 x 12 work if I change to a 110/70 12?

Right now I only have the tire sizes but I'll post up the rim size if that is needed.

Thanks for your help!

................ best bet if you inteend to be anything close to fast, is to invest in either 12" or 10" front and rear. The 12-10 combo is terrible...............

Not that I know anything about racing i just stayed at the local Holiday Inn Express last night:grin:

I'm planning on moving up to a 12" rear as well. I guess I'll see how much a 12" rear will cost and see if my budget can swing it.

I road race so my budget is pretty tight right now.

So does anyone know if those tire sizes would work?

If you want the best choice for a 12" front and a 10" rear........

100/90-12"

3.50 X 10" rear or a 120/90-10" rear.........

You aren't going to find many race tires on the market right now. america is basically out of most "race" tires....... you can find very limited quantities of the SAVAs.

Oh there is a link to the VEE Rubbers hold on............ okay click this---> Vee Rubber - Racing Tire Specifications I have not ever tried them so I don't know about them, none of the people I race with have tried them so I can't vouch for any statments of these tires at this time

I found a set of Cheng Shin...not the best but I'm sure an improvement over the stock knobbies I've been running on concrete :-(

The rim sizes are 10 x 1.60 and 12 x 1.60

Thanks for the help on the tire sizes! Hopefully, I'll be able to upgrade to a 12 inch on the rear. Be nice to back it in without pinching tubes all the time >:-(

I have never seen anyone effectively back in a minitard except under extreme cirrumstances. It might work to some extent indoors wheres its all slippery. Outdoors thats a technique that is very very rarely used. At least from what I have seen and racing that I been a part of.

you might need some more PSI to keep the tire from pinching the tube:)

I think part of the reason is at least on my Sikk the tranny only allows a single downshift so to properly back it in (as I've done on my DRZ400SM) I usually drop two gears...brake hard on the front and use the clutch to control the rear...on the Sikk...it's all rear brake but I've found that just braking with the front brake works very well. I'm actually impressed with how well the brakes on this bike work.

I'm ordering the tires this weekend so hopefully the sizes I indicated will fit on the rim. I'm going to ask the person and if he doesn't know, I'll order and see how the fit is. I'm sure I'm close enough but we'll see...my hope is that the tire vendor will be able to tell me if my rims are sufficient enough for the tire.

I wouldn't trust a tire vendor to know what is right or wrong........ but maybe if the vendor is a small "vendor" and ride/race minitards they might have a clue..........:)
