I know there are some one-off 4 strokes that people are running in them. The ones I saw had either polini 4 valve heads or SE and use honda 50 style cranks and custom billet cases with no trans... just a cintrifugal clutch on one side and not sure about ign on the other side. And dont know exactly what they use for oil pump.

EDIT: Found some pics of it, its a polini 4v head.

^^^ talk about a simple carb....

and when I was talking to the guy about this bike he said that it really almost makes too much power for the available traction!

Yup, That's the Frank Giannin R-3 4-stroke. He makes my racing pocket bikes and he can really put together and tune some engines. His open class 50cc 2-strokes weigh aprox. 50lbs, H2O cooled and turn 17,500 rpms. It's one of those things like riding a KX 500, you have to try it once in your life.

Used to race pocketbikes for 4 years in our national Championship. This was when only high quality bikes were available from Italy. And way before they came over from China in shiploads  and every kid got one. (and after that most of these cheap junk pockets ended up at the policestation)

Alu framed, 40cc Liquid cooled, race-slicks, and frightening speeds 'cause you're sitting so low and have NO suspension.

First had a Polini and later got an unpainted GRC which I transformed into a Smokin' Joes Duhamel replica. Spraypainted it with cans and cut all the stickers myself. :p

those things are a blast my buddy has one and i had the idea to goon ride it and at about 35mph i hit the payment and decided to do a skin graft hahha luckly i was smart enought to put a helmet on... it wasnt to bad but shorts and a t shirt dont protect you very much lol i still have scars

^^^ Yea the only experience I have with one was a 200 dollar one a friend had. anything above 10mph and it got some serious head shake. I took it about a total of 100ft and turned around and gave the thing back to him. Im the one usually to be stupid and do anything but it just flat out scared me...

I used to race and I started doing really well before i sold them. Sport is really dieing in America and I'd rather race motards.

Gianninis four stroke bike is pretty sick. Jimmy (the kid to the right in the first photo) took it out at VIR for one lap. It was slow as hell and jimmy said it handled like shiit. It sounds cool though, feel sorry for whoever is behind him.

Nice pic of Phil D. biting his nails, lol.
