Thinkin bout buyin a KC110 from pepboys

pepboys is running a special on the kc110 $499 after rebate...



it has 12" wheels... i am thinkin about one for a second pit bike...



anyone got one... what do you think of the quality...

There not bad for the money I have had one for two years. I have riddden it very hard a crashed it also. I put an oil cooler, bigger carb, more aggressive tires. The only thing I bent/broke was the footpegs bent down from jumping to hard, but I replaced them and it has been fine. It does have false neutral problem sometimes. Not the best pit bike, but there are much worse bikes out there.

+ 1 ive seen a few kids here riding them and all with good results other than bent foot pegs and leaking gas tank at the cap.

other than that they havent broken anything and these kids ride hard.

Agree with magik!!!!!

Are all chineeeeese bikes junk? Even at a thousand dollars or two thousand you will have issues. My kids honda has not had one problem yet, even with adult riders. It is 3 years old. With a better warranty and a dealer on every corner, with qualified mechanics. What is your kids health worth? Safety, well being? What is the value of the hassle involved with this bike? Is it worth the extra 500, That is what you can get a honda or yami for, even a zuk.

well... my boy won't be on one for a few more years anyway... :) he is only 3 weeks old... this would be for me to put around on in the pits at the big bike track... :)



i should probably wait and see how my xr70 with the 106 upgrade works first though...

Maybe the top of the line bikes. Not so cheap, or not 500

go look at ssrmotorsports.com, or staggs, see what 500 will get ya, dont let the pics fool ya. Buyer Beware!!

your all over the place pissing and moaning, we know we get it, your point has been make now please stop already.

no one heard that kc powersports filed for bankruptcy and have no parts? i've never understood why people would buy a pit bike from pep boys? thats like going to the grocery store and trying to buy car. how can they know anything about what they are selling, provide service or parts.

i actually bought the "pw80" copy from pepboys as my first pitbike. it was cheap for $300 sale price. that thing was fun and pretty fast. That would make for a cheap "pit" bike when your at the track.



The KC bikes look pretty low quality for the price. A kid in my neighborhhod has one. He had some carb/jetting issues but i still see him riding around the neighborhood every once in a while. He asked if i wanted to ride it but i declined because i really didnt want to let him jump on my bike. You could probably find a roller on ebay and a cheap motor for the same price.



but in the end its ultimately your money and your decision. yes they do run and would probably do well as a pit bike.

nope, not police, just don't want anyone to buy crap. :grin: Never said all china bikes are crap I even said I would buy another, just from another brand. If you have read that "all over the place" then you would have gotten the full message. Every post you have made has been china friendly???? hmmm. The point is cheap is cheap, no matter where it is made.
