just with standard socket wrenches but it snapped inside of the shock then fell out. so it was a mount problem.

to answer everyones questions. im not even bothering with sending it in to ishock. they will stick me over like everyone else

want to motard it now so i willl slap the stock shock back on

I'm no expert on anything but...,

I have the LE version and know this for a fact . Since these versions of shocks don't have spherical (sp?) or Hiem joint mounting points , it is very easy to over tighten the mounting bolts and bind up the movement of each end . And also if you'll notice that on some bikes , the shock points don't line up perfectly also causing it to bind up because of the non-spherical type of mounts these shocks have . I feel that these are 2 of the main reasons for this type of failure . Once I figured this out some years back , I run both bolts a tad loose so you can fell alittle clunk movement at each end . I also made sure to check these bolts for tightness on a regular basis so it wouldn't fall apart as I rode the bike . :)

If you'll notice as of recent , the newer I-shock line up has pretty much gott'n away from those collar type mounts . ;)

My 2 cents again about this subject .:)

Oh and fyi - I recently bought the M1-A6 for my 110 and have had no issues as of yet . :)

Wow thats nuts

Ive had my ishock since i got the 50, ive beaten on it ever since and its still going strong.

Ive hit stuff as big as 75ft and still no issues!

Its definately worth spending the extra $ to get somthing beefier though.
