Aftermarket vs beefed up stock

hey guys...my rear stock shock is shot....time to invest in something else....



My question.....with a STOCK swingarm....would it be worth the money to go with an ishock or works rear shock or to buy another stock shock with a stiffer spring?



How big of a performance increase is there from the beefed up stock to aftermarket? I'm not hitting huge jumps....prolly 40 feet or so, so i'm just not sure what a better investment would be...

Its tottaly worth it IMHO. But i wouldnt buy an ishock. Ive seen so many problems on here about them. And some with just a ride or two. Go with a works. I got mine for 130 used. And i couldnt be happier.. Ive hit some good size jumps and the shock worked good and flawlessly. I love mine. Look for a used one on here. It also picks the rear end up about an inch.

well what parts do you have on ur klx already? And how much cash do you have to spend?

got pegs and mounts...yoshi...bars...front springs...i actually dont have much to spend....i'm just doing this cuz my rear shock is completely trashed to the point of no rear suspension......if all else fails ill buy a brand new one but i'd like to save some money on a good used one if possible





actually its a drz...lol like it matters

lol well. I had to wait 2 weeks to find the one. There not availble for long.

Floats are good but ive heard of a couple problems but fox fixed them right away for free. But i havent heard a complaint about works. Either way youll be set.

I have a fox float, I'm 6 ft 180lbs, and I really like my set up. The adjustability is great and its so light compared to reservoir shocks. My riding buddies use elka's and works and they work well for them. Works well with my stock forks with stiff springs and bbr damping rods.

anyone have the Race Tech shock for the stock swinger??? I want to get one if someone has one for a good price. If you want to trade the shock in on another shock I can make that happen too! Send me some pm's if you have the Race Tech shock for the stock swinger Pleeeeeeeaaaaaasssseeee! LOL
